Bach Hac Ward on Viet Tri City in the northern province of Phu Tho has a poetic and charming scene of river water and is currently home to six national (1) and provincial (5) provincial historical and cultural relic sites.
The Tam Giang Temple - Dai Bi pagoda relic site located in Bach Hac ward has typical historical, architectural and artistic values, and has been classified as the National Arts and Architecture Relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism since 2010.
The temple – pagoda’s architecture fits to the Buddha worshiping at the rear and the worship of deities in the front.
According to legend and written historical materials, Tam Giang Temple was built in 650, and rebuilt in 1818, and upgraded in 1912.
Besides Buddhist worshiping, the temple – pagoda complex worships Vu Van Trung Duc Uy Hien Vuong, a legendary historical figure in Hung Kings era, General Tran Nhat Duat under the Tran Dynasty, and Goddess worship. The temple worships ancestors through worshiping rites and traditions festivals with cultural performances and folk games.

In fact, Tam Giang Temple – Dai Bi Pagoda is not only a centre for belief worship but also a venue for typical festivals, including Tam Giang Temple Festival annually held on the 10 of the third lunar month and the 25th of the ninth lunar month.
In addition, Bach Hac Ward is home to many other ancient stories, traditions and festivals linked to the period of fighting foreign dominations and invasions, such as the Banh Day (glutinous rice cake) pounding festival and the traditional boat racing.
