Present at the event included Most Venerable Thích Thanh Dũng, Deputy Patriarch cum Secretary of the VBS’s Discernment Council, members of the VBS’s  Discernment Council and Executive Council, heads of the VBS’s central committees, the VBS executive committees in Hanoi and Northern provinces.

Distinguished guests at the event included Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Thị Minh Nga and Head of the Religious Affairs Department under the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Nguyễn Văn Thanh.

The event featured traditional rites commemorating Supreme Patriarch Thích Phổ Tuệ.

Most Venerable Thích Phổ Tuệ, Supreme Patriarch of the VBS passed away on October 21 at Vien Minh (Rang) Pagoda in Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi city.
