Firework procession festival in Bac Ninh province
The annual firework procession festival takes place in Dong Ky Village (Dong Quang, Tu Son, Bac Ninh) on the 4th of the first lunar month. The festival aims to commemorate the day when general Thiên Cương gave order for soldiers to march into battle defeating enemies and later regarded and worshipped as the tutelary god.
Dong Da mound festival in Hanoi
Dong Da mound festival takes place every year on the 5th of the first lunar month to reflect the decisive victory in a battle led by King Quang Trung against foreign invaders. The festival procession starts from Khuong Thuong communal house to Dong Da mound. Tich Dien Doi Son Festival in Ha Nam province
Tich Dien Doi Son festival in Duy Tien district of Ha Nam province takes place on 5th -7th of the first lunar month with the aim to encourage farming and agriculture. The festival was first held in the 10th century in Ha Nam, the homeland of King Lê Đại Hành and restored in 2009 after many years of disruption.
The festival includes the ceremonies for the reporting to the tutelary God and water procession to Doi pagoda; buffalo decoration competition, king procession and plowing. Festival cultural activities include art performance, booths displaying products, wrestling and traditional games
Long Tong festival in Tuyen Quang province
Long Tong festival is a tradition of the Tay ethnic group in the northern province of Tuyen Quang. The festival is held on the 8th day of the first lunar month to pray for a new year of good weather, good crops, prosperity and family happiness.
During the festival, all families prepare items made from agricultural produces to offer to gods, such as rice cakes, boiled pork and eggs, five-color sticky rice. Besides rituals and ceremonies, the festival has traditional games such as nem con (throwing cloth balls), walking on stilts, puppetry, cock fighting, martial art performance, swinging, tug, stick pushing, crossbow and then singing competitions.
Yen Tu festival in Quang Ninh province
Yen Tu is considered as a Buddhist center in Vietnam and its festival each year attracts hundreds of thousands of pilgrims. Yen Tu Festival commences annually on the 10th day of the first lunar month and lasts for three months. During the festival, tens of thousands of pilgrims begin their journey from Yen Tu mountain foot in early morning to the uppermost shrine (Dong Pagoda) on top of the mountain.

Dong Da festival in Binh Dinh province
The Dong Da – Tay Son Festival is held to commemorate leaders of the Tay Son movement, especially hero Quang Trung – Nguyễn Huệ and celebrate the victory of Ngoc Hoi – Dong Da.
The festival takes place from the 4th to the 5th of the first lunar month, at the Quang Trung Museum in Phu Phong town, Tay Son district, the central province of Binh Dinh.
In addition to traditional ceremonies, the festival has many cultural activities such as Tay Son martial arts demonstrations and Tay Son war drum performances, boat races, folk games, and traditional opera singing contests attracting large numbers of visitors in the country and overseas.

The festival is also known as Linh Son Mother Goddess temple Festival. The festival is held from the 10th to 15th of the first lunar month. The festival attracts hundreds of thousands of pilgrims every year participating with the hope to receive blessing from Linh Son Mother Goddess.
