Thirty-four deacons of Vinh Diocese have been promoted as priests at a solemn ceremony held on July 25 in Xa Doai church located in Nghe An province’s Nghi Loc district.
The ceremony was led by Bishop Alphonso Nguyễn Hữu Long of Vinh Diocese, and joint by several priests, clerics in the Diocese and the deacons’ relatives.
The ceremony took place with a restricted number of attendees for preventing Covid-19 pandemic, and was streamed online at the website of Vinh Diocese.
During the event, Bishop Alphonso Nguyễn Hữu Long performed ordainment rituals to 34 new priests.
