A quiz contest on Buddhism and the life of Buddha Shakyamuni was launched by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in collaboration with the Embassy of India in Hanoi and Momo application on November 15 on occasion of the 75th Independence Day of India, the 40th founding anniversary of the VBS and the upcoming 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relation between India and Vietnam.
The contest aims to raise awareness and understanding among monks, nuns and lay Buddhists on Buddhism while promoting IT application in preaching Buddhism through Momo application and the website of the VBS.
The contest will be held online in three rounds, starting at 8pm on November 25, December 14 and 21. Contestants should access to www.anvientv.com.vn/kienthucphatgiao.
Excellent contestants who pass two rounds will receive cash prizes of up to 50 million VND in total. The three best contestants will be sponsored to tour India and participate in the final round competition (expected to be held in the first quarter of 2022).
