As planned by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Central Executive Council, a grand ceremony marking the 40th VBS Founding Anniversary will be held online for preventing the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
The ceremony themed “40 years of the VBS: Integration and Development with the country” is expected to be organized at 8 a.m. on November 7, 2021. According to the plan, VBS executive committees and institutes in provinces and cities will not hold separate celebration of the VBS’s founding anniversary in order to save resources for the pandemic prevention work in the locality.
Implementing this plan, the VBS’s executive committee in Tra Vinh province held on October 18 a meeting for approving participants, distinguished guests and the venue of the online participation of the VBS’s 40th founding anniversary.
As reported at the meeting, the online ceremony marking the VBS’s 40th founding anniversary in the province will be organized at the Viettel Telecom in Tra Vinh city, with the participation of no more than 30 participants from the VBS’s central executive council, the provincial VBS’s executive committee, provincial authorities and concerning agencies. These participants must be vaccinated with two doses of Covid-19 vaccine and take COVID-19 tests before joining the online celebration in Tra Vinh.
