The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive committee in Thai Binh province held on July 26 a solemn requiem to pay tribute to heroic martyrs on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).
During the requiem taking place at the heroic martyrs temple in the province, Buddhist dignitaries and officials performed incense-offering and laid wreaths to pay tribute to over 51,000 heroic martyrs in the province who made great contributions to national construction and defense. The participating officials and locals also joint Buddhists in religious rituals praying for heroic martyrs’ peace and spiritual uplifting.
