The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Quang Binh province’s Quang Ninh district in collaboration with the association for study promotion in the district Gia Ninh commune held on Octorber 4 a ceremony for presenting scholarships to students from poor families with excellent school results in the locality.
During the event, 70 scholarships, each valued from 500,000 VND to one million VND, were handed over to students of poor families who have successfully overcome difficulties in their studies in 2020 in Gia Ninh commune.
The scholarships, valued at 50 million VND in total, was successfully raised by Senior Venerable Thích Đạt Đức, Abbot of Hai Quang pagoda in Ho Chi Minh city.
