Senior Venerable Thích Quảng Lộc, Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Tien Giang province’s My Tho City has called on Buddhist worshipping places and followers in the city to support the frontline medical staff against Covid-19 pandemic in the locality.
As a result, 200 medical protective suits including clothes, masks, and face shields, and 500 medical gloves have been presented to doctors and nurses who take samples at Covid-19 testing points.
Due to the current Covid-19 outbreak, My Tho City has imposed a social distancing according to Directive No. 16 of the Prime Minister from August 20 and undertook a large-scale Covid-19 testing in 17 communes and wards of the city.
