The online meeting was chaired, from Hanoi station, by Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm, Deputy President of the VBS’ Central Executive Council cum Head of VBS’s Central Committee for Dharma Popularization and Chairman of the VBS executive committee in the province, and joint by Senior Venerable Thích Chiếu Tuệ, Standing Vice Chairman and members of the VBS executive committee in the province, and representative monks and nuns in 13 districts and provincial city in the province.

During the event, Venerable Thích Viên Như, Vice Chairman cum Secretary of the VBS executive committee informed preparations for the organization of the district-level VBS congresses in the province.   

Heads of the VBS executive boards in 13 districts and provincial city in the province also provided additional information the timeline, venue, nominated  personnel and other practical issues.

Accordingly, the district-level VBS congresses of in Ha Tinh province will be held from August 10 to September 4 at pagodas in these districts with the number of elected members of the VBS executive boards in each district and provincial city not exceeding nine members, the number of standing members not exceeding three members. In addition, members of the VBS executive boards in districts and provincial city were asked to not exceed 60 years old.

At the event, after gathering comments from monks and nuns in districts, Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm asked the VBS’s Standing Board in the province to guide VBS executive board in districts and provincial city to carry out congress procedures according to instructions of the VBS executive committee and current regulations of the State and the provincial authorities.

Due to the complicated epidemic situation, Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm also asked the VBS executive boards in districts and provincial city to hold the district-level congress in safe, solemn and economic manners, with simple decorations, etc.
