A delegation led by Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Da Nang city Thích Thiện Toàn visited on July 29 to the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in the city for presenting a financial support to Vietnam’s Covid-19 vaccine fund.
Welcoming the delegation included Vice President of the municipal VFF Trần Việt Dũng.
During the reception, Most Venerable Thích Thiện Toàn handed over 100 million VND raised by the VBS in the city to the national Covid-19 vaccine fund.
Speaking at the reception, Vice President Trần Việt Dũng sincerely thanked the VBS and monks, nuns and lay Buddhists in the city for their practical contributions to the Covid-19 pandemic prevention work over the past tow years, also expressed hope that the municipal VBS will continue encouraging followers to strictly observe state regulations on preventives measures against the current spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the locality.
