VBS holds requiem for heroic martyrs in Ho Chi Minh

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive council in collaboration with Vinh Nghiem pagoda in Ho Chi Minh city held on July 25 a requiem for heroic martyrs on occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day.

During the requiem, VBS’s dignitaries and followers together performed Buddhist rituals praying for heroic martyrs.

On the occasion, the VBS’s executive council presented gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs in the city and ex-soldiers of Gạc Ma Island.

The First News Publishing House of Vietnam, the publisher of the book "Gac Ma - The Immortal Circle" presented VND 300 million collected from the book selling and contributed by donors to 64 families of Gac Ma fallen soldiers. As reported, the publisher also presented VND 384 million to the fallen soldiers’ families during the releasing event of the book held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 7.
