The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Committee for Buddhist Guidance held from November 30 to December 2 in Kon Tum province a training on Buddhist guidance for Buddhist monks and nuns from the Vietnam Central.
The event taking place at the office of the VBS Executive Committee in Kon Tum province based in Hue Chieu pagoda saw the participation of Most Venerable President of the VBS Executive Council Thích Thiện Nhơn, Most Venerable Vice President of the VBS Executive Council Thích Thiện Pháp, Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS Chapter in Kon Tum province Thích Quảng Xả, Most Venerable Head of the VBS Committee for Buddhist Guidance Thích Thanh Hùng and Buddhist dignitaries from localities.
Distinguished guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Tấn Hùng, Secretary of Kon Tun provincial Party’s Committee Nguyễn Văn Hùng and representatives from local authorities.
The two-day event aimed to foster professional skills for Buddhist monks and nuns in charge of Buddhist guidance from the Central region as well as raise awareness of the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 for participating monks and nuns in the region.
