The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in Quang Ninh has sponsored the construction of 10 charitable houses for poor households and policy beneficiaries in the province on occasion of the Buddha Birthday 2021 (B.E 2565).
On May 7, the VBS’s executive committee in the province kicked off the construction of charitable houses for the two families of Mrs. Đặng Thị Mai Anh in Phuong Dong ward and Mrs. Dương Thị Thương in Thuong Yen Cong commune, Uong Bi city.
These are the first two charity houses implemented by the provincial VBS Chapter in the construction of 10 charitable houses for poor households and policy beneficiaries in the province.
During the ground breaking ceremonies, Most Venerable Thích Thanh Quyết, Vice President of the VBS’s Central Executive Council cum Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee presented each poor household 50 million VND for rebuilding their houses.
According to Senior Venerable Thích Đạo Hiển, Vice Chairman of the provincial VBS’s executive committee, the total contribution by the provincial VBS for building 10 charity houses in the province is 600 million VND.
