VBS chapter in Ninh Thuan reviews six-month activities

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Ninh Thuan province held on July 11 a meeting to review its Buddhist affairs in the first half of 2018 and set working plans for the last six months of the year.  

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Ninh Thuan province held on July 11 a meeting to review its Buddhist affairs in the first half of 2018 and set working plans for the last six months of the year.

The event saw the participation of Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Hạnh Thể, representatives from the VBS’s executive board of districts and abbots of Buddhist monasteries and temples in the province.

 

As reported at the meeting, in the first six months of 2018, Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the province actively implemented charitable program for supporting poor people, donating wheelchairs to people with disabilities, presenting scholarships to poor and excellent students, etc worth 5.3 billion VND as well as built 4 charity houses (each worth VND 40 million) for the poor.
