Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association cancels gathering commemorating death anniversary of founding Master

The Central Executive Committee of Tu An Hieu Nghia (Four Debt of Gratitude) Buddhist Association issued a dispatch on November 11 to its chapters and worshipping places for implementing the Covid-19 prevention measures in new situation.
Accordingly, this year, due to risk of the Covid-19 spread the death anniversary of Master Ngô Lợi - Founder of the Buddhist Association will not be held with large gatherings on the 13th of the tenth lunar month at Tam Buu – Phi Lai pagoda located in Ba Chuc town of An Giang province’s Tri Ton district and other worshipping place of the Buddhist sect. Worshiping places of Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association will only hang national and religious flags, and banners to commemorate the ceremony.
Regarding to religious rituals, the Central Executive Committee of Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association asked executive boards of its chapters to strictly implement the epidemic prevention measures, requested the association’s members not to make pilgrimages to Tam Buu - Phi Lai and other worshiping places of Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhism during the commemorate ceremonies, and instead commemorated the event at home.
