Tree plantation launched in Budhist pagoda in Quang Binh

Quang Xa pagoda located in Tan Ninh commune of Quang Binh province’s Quang Ninh district launched a program on November 24 for planting more mangrove trees in the commune.

Joining at the program were monks, nuns and Buddhist followers of the pagoda, experts of the Berlin Independent Institute for Environmental Issues (UfU), and volunteers from Quang Binh University and Meaningful Living Club in the province.

During the program, participants planted 1,000 trees at the Tan Ninh mangroves forest of 7ha in order to restore and protect the mangrove ecosystem here.
