Tinh Do ashram of Truong Sinh pagoda celebrated on September24 a program for promoting the grateful way of life in Tien Giang province’s Go Cong town.
Attending the event were Senior Venerable Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee cum Abbot of Truong Sanh pagoda Thích Quảng Lộc and about 700 Buddhists and local residents in Go Cong town.
Local guests at the program included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê and local authorities’ representatives.
The program aimed to educate Buddhists and people, especially young people to respect and pay gratitude for their ancestors and parents and people who made meritorious service contributions to the country and community, contributing to promote love sharing and fine traditional cultural values in the country.
On this occasion, Tinh Do ashram presented VND 60 million to the Fund “for the poor” of Go Cong town and a charitable house worth VND 30 million.
