A ceremony to celebrate the 60th founding anniversary Tin Duc parish and 10th anniversary of its church was solemnly held on December 9 in the parish in Chau Thanh district.
The ceremony was presided by Bishop of My Tho Diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm and attended by Priests in the diocese and a large number of Catholics, as well as representative from local authorities.
It’s reported that Tin Duc parish was founded in 1954; its church was initially built with simple materials and repaired several times. The construction of the church was started in 2002 and completed in 2014. Currently, the church has a total area of 6.315m2, 427 households with 1.573 Catholics.
