Tien Giang province: Minh Su Theravada Buddhist Church’s new provincial Executive Board makes its debuts

On December 22, a ceremony to announce the appointment of the provincial Executive Committee of the Minh Su Theravada Buddhist Church in Tien Giang province was held on December 12 at Pho Hoa Buddhist temple in the province’s My Tho city.
Attending the event included Master Chairman of the Minh Su Church’s Central Executive Committee Nguyễn Vận Hưng, representatives of the executive board of eight Buddha temples in Tien Giang province and two Buddhist temples in Long An province. Local officials joining the event were Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê and representatives of the local authorities.
During the appointment ceremony, Master Nguyễn Vận Hưng presented the Minh Su Theravada Buddhist Church’s Decision appointing Venerable Nguyễn Vĩnh Thông as Chairman of Minh Su Church’s Executive Committee in Tien Giang province for 2nd tenure (2015-2018).
