The Executive Committee of the Minh Su Theravada Buddhist Church in Tien Giang province held a conference to review activities in 2014 on December 26 at Pho Hoa worshipping place in Ly Thương Kiet street, My Tho city.
The conference was presided by Chairman of the provincial Minh Su religion Executive Committee Nguyễn Vận Hưng and attended by dignitaries and followers in the locality.
Local State guests to the conference were Mr. Dương Hoàng Bảo Ngọc, from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Hòa, Deputy Head of the My Tho city Home Affairs Department and representatives of local authorities.
At the conference, the Executive Committee reviewed religious practices by dignitaries and followers, charitable activities and building and upgrading of worshipping places, religious tenet learning.
According to the conference report, Minh Su religion in the province has 566 believers (with 24 dignitaries), 08 worshipping places in Tien Giang province and 02 worshipping places in Chau Thanh district, Long An province.
In 2014, the Committee participated in many social charity activities such as presenting gifts to the poor, people with disabilities, orphans… with a total of 243 million VND.
