Tien Giang province: Linh Phong pagoda inaugurates its main worshipping hall

Linh Phong pagoda’s main worshipping hall in Tien Giang province’s Chau Thanh district was solemnly inaugurated at a ceremony held on December 2.

The event was presided by Abbess of Linh Phong pagoda Thích nữ Tắc Hoa and attended by Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee Thích Hạnh Trân, representatives of the VBS Executive Board from 11 districts, towns and cities in Tien Giang province, and a large numbers of Buddhist followers in different localities.

Local guest attending the ceremony included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê and local authorities’ representatives.

According to Nun Thích nữ Tắc Hoa, Linh Phong pagoda was established in 1815 and its main worshipping temple has been upgraded four times. The reconstruction of the pagoda’s worshipping hall was started in 2013 with two stories.
