A ceremony for the Caodai oratory under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Ward 1 Cai Lay provincial city in Tien Giang province receiving the title of cultural worshipping place was held on December 4.
Attending the ceremony were Chairman of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church’s Representative Committee in Tien Giang province Thượng Ẩn Thanh and dignitaries representing the management board of 29 Caodai parishes in the province.
Local guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê and local authorities’ representatives.
The Ward 1 oratory was built in 1966 on an area of 1477m2, and currently has one student priest, four priests, 78 deacons and over 2,500 followers.
In the past years, religious practices and social activities conducted in the oratory practically contributed to ensure cultural lifestyles and “better religious and secular life”.
