A ceremony was held to debut Hai Duc Community Support Centre and review its performance in 2014 at Tu Dam hall in Truong An ward, Hue city on Jan 11.
Hai Duc Community Support Centre was officially established in 2013 with Most Venerable Thích Hải Ấn, member of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council, Deputy Head of the Thua Thien Hue province VBS Executive Committee as its Director.
Main functions of the Centre include application of scientific services and technologies in the field of public health, reduction of impacts by environmental and climate change, social welfare, gender equality based on community empowerment, life improvement and sustainable community development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Most Venerable Thích Khế Chơn, member of the VBS Executive Council, Deputy Head of the provincial VBS Executive Committee praised contributions made by the Centre during the past year. He also asked for further support from local authorities and relevant organizations for the Centre to further develop and better serve the community and social welfare for people.
