Attending the ceremony were Most Venerable Thích Tịnh Khai, Member of the Discernment Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS); Most Venerable Thích Thông Nghiêm and Most Venerable Thích Niệm Thới as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Board, members of the Executive Council of VBS, and Buddhist dignitaries and followers, and 131 monks and nuns of the course.

State Guests to the ceremony included representatives from the provincial Party Committee’s Board for Mass Mobilization, the provincial Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs under the Home Affairs Department and representatives of local authorities in An Tinh commune, Trang Bang district.

Through the course, the dignitaries were fully equipped with basic knowledge on Buddhist tripitaka and studied on the Party’ policies and guidelines, and State’s laws on religion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Trang Văn Hải - Deputy Director of Home Affairs Department, Head of provincial Committee for Religious Affairs congratulated the Executive Board of provincial VBS on the successful organization of the summer retreat course 2014 (B.E 2558).

On this occasion, Venerable Thích Minh Nhân - Abbot of Phước Thanh pagoda held the Buddhist Parents Day Festival with a rose presenting ritual.
