During a working visit to Nghe An province on Jan 18, Venerable Thích Đức Thiện, Secretary of the central Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council visited Thien Truc pagoda in Nghi Loc district.
Joining the visit were also representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and local authorities of Nghi Loc district and Nghi Trung commune.
Receiving the guests were Venerable Thích Quảng Hòa, Abbot of Thien Truc pagoda and Buddhists in the locality.
During the meeting reception, Venerable Thích Đức Thiện expressed his sincere thanks to local authorities for their due attention extended to monks, nuns and Buddhists in the locality in their religious and social activities.
Buddhists attend the ceremony
On this occasion, Venerable Thích Đức Thiện delivered a preaching entitled “the Buddhist pagoda in the mind of Vietnamese people” and presented Buddhist books to the pagoda and Buddhists in presence.
