Thanh Hoa province: the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam holds an opening ceremony for the 5th annual meeting of the Pastoral Committee for Family.

On September 10th, 2014, the 5th annual meeting of the Pastoral Committee for Family under the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam (CBCV) was held at Thanh Hoa diocese.
The meeting took place in the context of the upcoming third Extraordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, to be held in the Vatican from 5th to 19th October 2014, and the new family evangelization year for Catholics in Vietnam. With the message "in service of the family in order to serve other families in the parish and the diocese as well as contribute to reduce the risk of disruption in the family and moral degrade". The organization committee chose the theme of this conference as "the family and the parish - Service of love and life."
The meeting took place on September from 10th to 12th at Thanh Hoa diocese with the participation of Bishop Châu Ngọc Tri of Da Nang diocese, Chairman of the Pastoral Committee for the Family under the CBCV, Bishop Nguyễn Chí Linh of Thanh Hoa diocese, 158 delegates from the Pastoral Committees for the Family of 21 parishes, including 34 priests, 6 religious and 118 Catholic followers.
