On October 18, Phong Y parish under Thanh Hoa diocese has invited doctors and pharmacists from hospitals in Hanoi to conduct health checks and free distribution of medicines to poor patients, the elderly and H'mong ethnic people.
Nearly 400 locals, including Buddhists, Protestants and non-religious people have participated in the medical charity program.
In addition to conducts of health checks, doctors presented gifts to local people. The medical charities program has contributed to promote understanding of Catholic followers in the locality.
