The Buddhist Youth ashram in Thai Binh province held on July 31 the 5th sports competition at Van Mon pagoda in Vu Thu district.
The competition in football and badminton saw the participation of nearly 200 youths from the ashrams and clubs of Tu Xuyen, Hoang Van, Van Mon, Dinh Phung, Phuc Minh and Hung Long.
For the competition result, Tam Duc Family of Tu Xuyen pagoda was awarded first prize in badminton and the Buddhist Youth Club of Hoang Van pagoda recieved first prize in football contest.
On the same day, the “ringing bell” competition was also held with the participation of 100 youth. The competition contents focused on history of the Buddha, three Jewels, five precepts and basic Buddhist teachings.
The first prize went to Đặng Thị Huyền Trang and Nguyễn Quang Hà from Dinh Phung pagoda club.
