Presenting at the seminar were Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee Đinh Văn Thiệu, more than 200 scientists, folk culture researchers from central schools and cultural research institutes, officials, folk artists, and local people. 

At the seminar, the delegates discussed issues relating to the origin and the intermingle between Vietnam’s Thien Y A Na Mother Goddess worship and Cham’s Mother Goddess worship.

The seminar assessed the role of Mother Goddess worship in the cultural life of people in Khanh Hoa; discussed the practice of Thien Y A Na Mother Goddess worship and its contribution for promoting the worship and the sustainable development of tourism. The delegates also discussed the management of historical and cultural monuments and the practices of Thien Y A Na Holy Mother worship.

Khanh Hoa has around more than 200 relics worshipping Thien Y A Na Holy Mother; Ponagar Temple is the center of this religion. The seminar is part of the series of activities about the theme “Thien Y A Na Holy Mother” in Khanh Hoa.
