Religious organizations in Dong Thap present supports to people hard hit by Covid-19 pandemic

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Dong Thap province on November 5 presented 650 sets of supports to disadvantaged people badly affected by Covid-19 pandemic in districts of Thanh Binh, Thap Muoi, Tam Nong, Tan Hong and Hong Ngu.
As reported, 250 sets of supports, each containing rice, noodles, other necessities and 350,000 VND in cash have been sent to Thanh Binh district, and 400 sets of supports have been sent to the other four districts through the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the province. The charity program was valued at 227.5 million VND in total.

In addition, members of Cao Dai oratory in Tan Hong district’s Sa Rai town have sent 300 sets of supports, each containing vegetables and fruits, and hundreds of breakfasts, to people in quarantine areas of Tan Hong district’s Tan Thanh B, valued at hundreds of millions of VND in total.
