Religious organizations in Dong Nai strengthen measures for Covid-19 prevention

Due to the current situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Dong Nai province sent a dispatch asking Buddhist worshipping places in the province to strictly implement of recommendations on Covid-19 epidemic prevention.  

According to the dispatch, local people and lay Buddhists are compulsory to wear masks and wash hand with antiseptic when coming to Buddhist worshipping places.

The VBS’s executive boards in the province’s districts and cities have also been asked to regularly inspect the implementation of anti - Covid-19 epidemic measures in Buddhist pagodas and monasteries in their localities.

Accordingly, the congress of the VBS’ chapter in Bien Hoa City for tenure 2021-2026 scheduled on May 6-7, 2021 will have to strictly observe the recommended measures of the epidemic prevention.

On May 1st, Priest Dominic Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, General Vicar of Xuan Loc diocese sent a letter to dignitaries and parishioners in the diocese, highlighted the need for protecting the health of individuals, families and community follows the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and strictly implementing to the 5K recommendation.
