Quang Ngai provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee held a conference to review Buddhist affairs 2014 and approve working plans for 2015 at Phap Hoa pagoda on Jan 15.
Attending the conference were Most Venerable Thích Hạnh Lạc, Members of the VBS Executive Council cum Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee; Most Venerable Thích Huệ Đạt and Venerable Thích Trí Thắng, Vice Chairmen of the provincial VBS Executive Committee.
Local guests at the conference included representatives from the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, Religious Affairs Committee, Public and Security Department.
According to the conference report, in 2014 under guidance of the provincial VBS Executive Committee local Buddhist dignitaries and followers practiced religious activities under the VBS’s Charter and State’s laws and raised over 3.2 billion VND to help the poor and children with special difficulties.
