Quang Nam province: Pho Chau pagoda presents gifts to Gie Trieng ethnic people

On October 10th, Pho Chau pagoda’s Buddhists in Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province traveled 300 km to Phuoc May mountainous commune in Phuoc Son district to present gifts for Gie Trieng ethnic people under the charity program "warm winter".

Venerable Thích Thông Huệ, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of Duy Xuyen district’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Venerable Thích Tâm Huy, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Phuoc Son district’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Mr. Trần Văn Kiên, Chairman of People’s Committee of Phuoc May commune attended the presenting gift ceremony.

Preaching for ethnic people

Mr. Trần Văn Kiên, Chairman of the commune People’s Committee expressed thanks to support and contribution of Pho Chau pagoda’s Buddhists and the VBS Executive Committees of Phuoc Son and Duy Xuyen districts for ethnic people.

Representatives of local authorities and Buddhists of Pho Chau pagoda presented over 150 gift boxes to families confronting difficulties in village 4 of Phuoc May commune. Each gift box contained blankets, rice, new clothes and food worth 250 thousand VND.
