On August 20th, Phap Hoa ashrams at Phổ Đà pagoda (Hai Chau district, Da Nang city) together with Buddhist monks held a ceremony with release of living creatures and light-up of candles to pray for peace and prosperity to the country and spiritual uplifting to fallen soldiers and people died in Cam Le river.
Before the release of more than 500 kg of live animals into Cam Le river, Buddhist rituals including Buddhist recitation, Buddha invocation and praying were practiced and performed.
It’s known that Phap Hoa ashrams has regularly recited the saddharmapuṇḍarīka-sūtra at Pho Da pagoda for more than 15 years on 1st,14th, 15th and 30th of every lunar calendar month.
