A ceremony for new residential bishop of Xuan Loc diocese John Đỗ Văn Ngân to formally take his bishopric post and offer his thanksgiving was held on March 3 at Xuan Loc Cathedral in Dong Nai province.
Present at the event included President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam cum Archbishop of Hue Archdiocese Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh, Vice President of the Vietnam Catholic Bishops’ conference cum Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh Archdiocese Joseph Nguyễn Năng.
Because of the delay of the receipt of the Vatican’s document, the ceremony was authenticated and approved by the Archbishop Marek Zalewski, the Holy See's Apostolic Nuncio to Singapore and the Vatican's non-resident Special Envoy to Vietnam.
