Hieu Phung Caodai parish under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Vinh Long province’s Vung Liem district held on April 18 a solemn ceremony for inaugurating its new oratory.
Present at the ceremony included Cardinal President of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church Thượng Tám Thanh, Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs in Vinh Long Trần Văn Biết, and 2,000 Caodai followers in Vinh Long and neighboring provinces.
The original oratory of Hieu Phung Caodai parish was built in 1947 and has seriously deteriorated after 60 years of existence. In 2010, the provincial authorities approved for the Caodai parish to rebuild its oratory with the total investment of over ten billion VND.
