A ceremony for the inauguration of Kim Phuoc Pagoda in Tien Giang province’s Cai Lay district was solemnly held on December 4.
The event saw the participation of Most Venerable Member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Discernment Council Thích Bửu Thông, Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Committee in Tien Giang province Thích Nguyên Tấn, dignitaries representing Buddhist Chapters in the province’s districts and cities, and a large number of Buddhist followers in the locality.
Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Thị Mai was amongst representatives of local authorities at the event.
As reported at the ceremony, the reconstruction of Kim Phuoc Pagoda was started in 2013 on the construction area of 740m2, and completed at the total construction cost of nearly VND 32 billion, which was contributed by Buddhist devotees and sponsors across the country.
