As many as about 1,000 children and youth in Da Nang city attended a Buddhist summer course held by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive board in the city’s Lien Chieu district on July 8.

Attending the course’s opening ceremony included Chairman of the municipal committee for religious affairs Ngô Khôi and representatives from the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s committee in the city and Lien Chieu district authorities.

This is the second time that the Buddhist executive committee has organized the Buddhist course for local adolescents in the summer season in Bo De monastery located in the district’s Hoa Minh ward. The course aimed to deliver moral values embodied in the Buddhist teachings to local adolescents, as well as foster life skills and promote exchanges amongst the youth in the locality.
