The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Da Nang city held on April 13 a solemn ceremony for raising the national flag.
Attending the ceremony taking place in the VBS’s office located in the city’s Hai Chau district included representatives of local authorities and large numbers of Buddhist dignitaries and lay Buddhists.
Responding to the plan by the Government Committee for Religious Affairs on the advocacy work for raising the national flag at religious worshipping places, on April 13, the committee for religious affairs in the city presented national flags to religious organizations in the city, including the VBS’s Executive Committee, the Missionary Caodai church, Da Nang Diocese and the United World Mission Church.
On the occasion, the municipal religious committee also presented teaching materials of Vietnamese Law and Vietnamese History to the religious places.
