Nam Dinh province: Truc Lam Thien Truong inaugurated soon

To prepare for the inauguration of Truc Lam Thien Truong – the Center of Buddhism in Nam Dinh province – monks and nuns and Buddhist followers have been working very hard to complete final works.   

On Augugst 25, a Buddhist ceremony was held to place a Buddha relic and a Buddha statue inside a functioning hall of Truc Lam Thien Truong.  The Buddha statue is 20cm high and made of a precious wood with more than 100 years old.

The Buddha relic and Buddha statue were presented to General Trần Đại Quang, Minister of Public Security by Venerable Silan An Da, Patriarch of Myanmar’s Buddhism on occasion of his trip to Myanmar in 2013, and Minister Trần Đại Quang decided to dedicate this relic and statue to Nam Dinh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee.

Attending the ceremony included Venerable Thích Quảng Hà, Vice Chairman of Nam Dinh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, and General Trần Đại Quang, Minister of Public Security.
