Long An province: Buddhists and volunteers conduct health checks for poor people

Health checks and free distribution of medicines by Buddhists and volunteer doctors from Ho Chi Minh City for 400 poor people in Long An province has been conducted on November 16th. The program, organized by Van Hanh Monastery Charity Board, took place at Binh Ta 1 hamlet, Duc Hoa Ha commune, Duc Hoa district, Long An province.

It’s reported that a week earlier, the Van Hanh Monastery Charity Board delegation carried a similar program for 400 poor people and presented 200 gifts (each gift worth 300 thousand VND) for poor people in Phuoc Binh commune, Bac Ai district, Ninh Thuan province. Total cost of the charity program was nearly 150 million VND, and funded by Buddhists and benefactors.
