10/01/2014

Mr. Từ Công Dư, a Cham ethnic and Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council of Bani Muslim of Ninh Thuan province is always respected by Cham people in the locality who called him by the lovely name “Teacher Mươm Dư”.

In his position, “Teacher Mươm Dư” has assertively recommended to the Executive Board in 7 mosques to approve rules and common conventions for Muslim followers and this recommendation has contributed to gradually eliminate backward habits and preserve fine traditions.

“Teacher Mươm Dư” together with local authorities and prestigious people proactively propagated the guidelines and policies of the Party and State, thus contributed to strengthen unity in the locality. In addition, he also mobilized people to actively join in the movement for building new rural areas, and thanks to this mobilization, local roads of Phuoc Nam commune (Thuan Nam district), where “Teacher Mươm Dư” currently resides and practices religious activities, has been over 80% built with concrete.

With his family, he is a typical husband and father. Every year, he always works hard on rice crops and raising cows, goats and sheep. Thanks to his effort, every year his family has a stable income of about 100 million VND.

With his success and contributions, “Teacher Mươm Dư” had the honor to come to Hanoi for attending the 8th National Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (2014 - 2019)
