Lang Son province: Tan Thanh pagoda inaugurates its main worshipping temple

On December 9, Lang Son provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee solemnly held ceremony to inaugurate Tan Thanh pagoda’s main worshipping temple in Lang Son province’s Van Lang district.

Attending the ceremony were Most Venerable Chairman of the Central VBS Executive Council Thích Thiện Nhơn, Most Venerable Standing Vice Chairman of the Central VBS Executive Council Thích Thanh Nhiễu, Most Venerable Chairman of Lang Son provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Quảng Tùng, monks and nuns from the Central VBS and a large number of Buddhists in the locality.

Joining the event included Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affair (GCRA) Phạm Dũng, Director of the GCRA Buddhist Affairs Department Bùi Hữu Dược, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Trần Sỹ Thanh, Chairman of Lang Son provincial People’s Committee Vi Văn Thành.

Tan Thanh pagoda’s main worshipping temple and supporting facilities were completed after over 6 months of construction, with a total construction cost of nearly VND 78 billion and on the construction area of 1400m2.
