Kien Giang province: Hoa Hao Buddhist Church approves new-term representative committee and executive boards

Personnel of the provincial Hoa Hao Buddhist Representative Committee and the Executive Board of Hoa Hao Buddhist communes for the term 2014-2019 in the province made their debut at a ceremony held on Dec. 21.
At the ceremony held in the provincial committee’s office, the central Executive Council of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church presented the decision on appointment of 11 members to the Representative Committee for the new term with Mr Lê Thành Tín, member of the Executive Council, re-elected as the new Chairman, together with the decision on appointment of members of the Executive Board in 33 out of 36 Hoa Hao Buddhist communes in the locality.
On this occasion, the provincial Representative Committee reviewed its performance in 2014. It’s reported during the reviewing process that, over the year, Hoa Hao followers in the locality contributed over 23 billion VND to social and charitable activities.
