Attending the congress included dignitaries of the provincial VBS Executive Committee, Executive Boards in the province’s districts, representatives of Buddhist temples in the district and a large number of followers in the locality.

During the congress, the district VBS Executive Board reviewed results of Buddhist affairs in the 2011-2016 period. As reported at the congress, in addition to good results recorded in Buddhist affairs, Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the district have contributed VND 34 billion to social and charitable activities.

The one-day congress elected 17 members of the new-term VBS Executive Board for 2016 – 2021 tenure with Venerable Danh Dỗ as the Board Chairman.

Representative from local authorities presents certificates of merit to individuals

On this occasion, the district VBS Executive Board and People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to 21 Buddhist groups and 12 individuals for their outstanding contributions in social and charitable activities in the locality.
