The Ante-Creation Caodai Church solemnly inaugurated Chau Minh Holy See at a ceremony held on March 27 in Chau Thanh district of Ben Tre province.
Attending the ceremony were the Church’s dignitaries of High Council and Standing Executive Committee, followers from the Church’s 130 oratories in 16 provinces and cities throughout Vietnam, dignitaries representing Caodai churches and organizations and sponsors inside and outside the locality.
Distinguished guests at the ceremony included representatives from the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and local authorities.
Chau Minh Holy See was originally built in 1950s and degraded after many years of existence. The reconstruction of Chau Minh Holy See was started in 2010 and completed after five years of construction with the total cost of over 38 billion VND.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hữu Phước took the chance to praise the Caodai Church for its contributions in social and charitable activities over the past years. He also urged the Church to encourage dignitaries, deacons and followers to proactively join in movements for social and community development in the country.
