On August 26, 2014, Venerable Thich Tri Hai together with Buddhists from Hoa Tho pagoda and representatives of Tay Hoa Tho ward’s authorities in Cam Le district (Da Nang city) visited and donated a sum of 50 million VND to the family of Mrs. Phung Thi Giang residing in group 9 of Tay Hoa Tho ward for helping rebuild her family’s house before the rainy season.
According to local authorities, the family of Mrs. Phung Thi Giang has faced up to a very difficult circumstance where the family of 07 members lives together in a wonky house built on an area of approximately 60m2 and her husband is unable to work due to a serious neurological disease. Among her children, 4 of them are school children and one child finished school with no stable job. Their family only relies on a small money earned by Mrs Phung Thi Giang daily from hired works.
Being aware of this difficult circumstance and with Buddhist spirits of love, compassion, devotion… Buddhists of Hoa Tho pagoda donated and raised a sum of 50 million VND for her family to rebuild a new house.
