Responding to the Covid-19 prevention fund, a delegation from the Representative Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church in Can Tho city on July 1 visited and donated 72 million VND to the city Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) for supporting the Covid-19 epidemic prevention fund.
The delegation was led by Vice Chairman of the Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church’s central Executive Committee cum Chairman of the Representative Committee in the city Lê Văn Thưởng.
During the donation visit, Vice Chairman Lê Văn Thưởng shared practical activities of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s Representative Committee in the city for the Covid-19 prevention and control work, including the presentation of facemasks, gift packages to quarantine areas with the total value of over 114 million VND.
Speaking during the event, Chairman of the city VFF Nguyễn Trung Nhân took the chance to thank Hoa Hao Buddhist followers in the city for their practical supports. He expressed hope that the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s Representative Committee would continue closely working with local authorities in fighting against the pandemic.
