A conference with the theme “Cultural Features of the Buddhist Bhiksu Sect in Vietnam Buddhist culture” was held on April 28 in Trung Tam Buddhist monastery in Ho Chi Minh city.
Attending the workshop included Most Venerable Vice-Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council Thích Giác Toàn, Most Venerable Deputy Head of the VBS Central Cultural Affairs Committee Thích Hải Ấn, Prof. Dr. Director of the Institute of Linguistics under the Vietnam Academy of Social Science Nguyễn Văn Hiệp, Prof. Nguyễn Quốc Phong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Architects Association; scholars, monks and nuns of the Buddhist Bhiksu Sect.
This is the first session of a three-day program on the project "for studies of dresses, architecture, language and cultural heritage of Buddhist culture in Vietnam" implemented by the VBS Central Cultural Affairs Committee.
